The Gujarat Giants dominated the auction with bold bids, setting a new record by acquiring uncapped Indian star Simran Shaikh for ₹1.90 crore. They also bolstered their squad with the signing of Deandra Dottin, the West Indies all-rounder, for ₹1.70 crore, further solidifying their reputation as aggressive strategists in the Women’s Premier League.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) also made notable investments. MI captured rising star G Kamalini for ₹1.60 crore, while RCB signed Prema Rawat for ₹1.20 crore, showcasing their commitment to identifying long-term prospects.

Value-Oriented Strategies by Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz

The Delhi Capitals adopted a measured approach, opting for budget-friendly players who offer depth and reliability. Their notable buys include N Charani for ₹55 lakh and Scottish wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Bryce for just ₹10 lakh.

The UP Warriorz, meanwhile, focused on smart, tactical signings. They added Australian leg-spinner Alana King to their roster for ₹30 lakh, underlining their strategy of balancing cost efficiency with on-field expertise.
